Not me though, unless Tom Hiddleston knocks on my door and proposes. No, my friend Kirsty is getting married in three weeks and has asked for makeup advice. She'll be wearing an ivory dress with silver accents on the bust, and her bridesmaids are in dusky pink. I put together a couple of looks for her (one of which is even liquid liner-free!) for ideas. She'd asked for something silvery and smoky so this is what I came up with:
Look number one, the more dramatic of the two. I used:
a silver/grey/black quad from ULTA, just a touch of BellaPierre shimmer
powder in champagne. Boots natural collection eyeshadow in white (it's
not called white, but I can't remember the official name atm). It's
quite a bluey white so goes
well here. Lord and Berry Kohl liner in black, L'oreal Superliner pen and Tarte
lights, camera, splashes mascara. I'd probably put false lashes on with
this too, but since I kept my face like this all day I thought it might
be a bit OTT for nipping out to the co-op! Bourgeois cream blush in 01 and
B.Cosmetics sheer lipstick in flamingo.
For the second look I decided to go more subtle. I incorporated some pale pink in the form of another of my ULTA eyeshadow quads, and used a silver from my 'Beautifully Disney' villains palette. I reluctantly left out the winged liner ;) and instead lined just my top and bottom waterline with a No7 stay perfect amazing eyes pencil. I kept the lashes subtle too, with Boots Natural Collection mascara in brown/black.
All in all, I think the second look is more appropriate for a wedding ceremony, though I do think the top look would be perfect for the reception.
Having said that, if it were me getting married I'd likely have sparkly black lids with an enormous cat eye flick, but I digress..... :D
